well, ive waited with excitement and anticipation for each new pimp. Although these new pimps are perhaps closer to true pimpin' than just large versions of everyday snacks, i'm not sure this is as fun and as amusing as the likes of rolo and wagon pimp. If the pimps go in this direction i fear the whole ethos of pms will change!
  4. LadyV Mon Apr 17, 2006 12:38 pm #4
I think we needed to try this - as you say, closer to true pimpin'.
Fear not grampositive - I hear more giant snacks are on the way!

I think the giant snacks are the best pimped snacks ever - when someone has made a giant version of a snack from scratch and trying to be as accurate as possible, its skillful and just brilliant. I hope to see more of these monster versions and less of the 'made on blue peter' looking pimps, i will be contributing some more 'beasts' to the site soon.

i welcome the new pimps, cause who says pimped snacks just have to be huge versions of other things? i thought the creme egg was particularly inventive

Im sure the scoreboard will decide!

c'mon people. There is room for a bit of everything on this site, as long as it has been pimped up in some way - be that in a 'blue peter' style or just something mammoth. Any pimping efforts are appreciated by me [Razz]

Following our pimped chocolate viennesse we are going to pimp a rice crispie square! Simple on ingredients, theres even a recipe on the kellogs website, and not too difficult to create! Only thing is where to get a baking tin big enough for this pimp? hmmm im thinking roasting tray! We had to think about this one quite a bit cos its getting difficult to think of new pimps. people are pimping all over the place,it rocks. Lovin the juggernaut yorkie but my fave has to be the Boost, they are my favourite chocolate bar after all. [Very Happy]

here's my first one if anyone's in a judgemental mood!!

    http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/project.php?projectID=231

outside of chocs and biscuits - anyone got a fantastic leftfield direction in which to take the creativity??

Definitely feeling the baked items - now what is left??
    http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/project.php?projectID=231

done this twice to get the hang of inserting links..

Has anyone pimped a milky way yet?
  39. beckly Mon Aug 21, 2006 10:55 am #39
Not that I know of ... but I could have missed something?
  40. big wiganer Mon Aug 21, 2006 2:04 pm #40
    aha - found one

    http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/project.php?projectID=92

all the attempts are good, but cannot find anyone having gone for creating their own nougat - and I'm not surprised!! what a challenge though.
I've been looking for a mars or something that has been done from scratch - I thought ladyv was doing one (re a message in april) and pimpdaddy doing a maaars, but the old links divert me to the 'we've changed names' message, so alas cannot check them out!! [Sad]
  41. pimpdaddy Mon Aug 21, 2006 2:10 pm #41
If you substitute 'my' for 'that' any old links should still work [Smile]
  42. big wiganer Mon Aug 21, 2006 2:29 pm #42
doh, and cheers. yep there are some great pimps - but anyone who can make their own nougat for a true scratch pimp of mars/milky way is a straight 10/10 in my book
  43. pimpdaddy Mon Aug 21, 2006 3:15 pm #43
I believe LadyV and SoopDogg did it a while ago. Have a look at the Double Double Decker.
  44. big wiganer Tue Aug 22, 2006 12:07 am #44
it certainly looks the part. Good Noo-gah. If either of them see this - was it as good to eat as it looks?
  45. LadyV Tue Aug 22, 2006 7:37 pm #45
Yup it was indeed good. The best pimp I have made to date I think.
It was worth the long stirring effort (although it was hard on the arms at the time).
I'm going to make another one for a cake raffle at soopdoggs workplace soon. Might make it bigger this time though. [Shocked]

    excellent.
and in that case I may follow your guide to good noo-gah for potential future pimps. Am currently racking my brain for that all important second pimp [Little thongue man] considering a departure into savouries....
