What the original account establishes
These notes distinguish the recorded result from quantities or settings the contributor did not specify. Follow each source link to the original passage.
- Ingredients: 4 bars of Galaxy, 2 bags of toffee, half a packet of Rich Tea, half a packet of chocolate digestives and 100g of butter. One bar of chocolate was melted in a bowl over a pan of hot water for the base and poured into a foil-lined container to set in the fridge. The biscuits were crushed in a blender and added to the butter melted in a pan, then moulded into a ball in a bowl lined with cling film, which was pulled over and tied, and set in the fridge. The toffee was melted the same way, not completely but until kneadable, rolled into a rough disc and moulded round the biscuit ball. This went into the container and the rest of the chocolate was melted to seal it off, but there was not enough chocolate: the result lacked a base and a top, and the filling ended up upside down. The original account
Ingredients:
4 bars of Galaxy
2 bags toffee
Half a packet of rich tea
Half a packet of chocolate digestives
100g butter

1. The first step was to melt one of the chocolate bars for the base, using a pan of hot water under the bowl, which we then put in the container which was lined with foil.
2. While it was setting in the fridge, we crushed the biscuits using the blender

We then added to the butter, which we had melted in a pan.

3. The next step was moulding the biscuit filling. We’ve noticed that the biscuit in a Munchie is spherical, this shape could cause problems. We used a bowl for the initial shape of a ball, placing the mixture in cling film to retain it’s shape.

To complete it, after we’d transferred all the mixture, we pulled the cling film over the top to tie it into a ball and put it in the fridge to set.
4. After awhile, after the biscuit had set, we started to melt down the toffee. We used the pan method again, and melted it not completely, but to the point where it was kneadable.

We rollered it out into a rough disc, put the biscuit ball on top, and moulded it round the sides.

This was then put into the container, and the rest of the chocolate was melted down and added to seal it all off. (Sadly, no pictures were taken of this stage).
Now, unfortunately, we couldn’t afford more chocolate than we bought, so we kind of ran a bit low. Realising we now had a Munchie lacking in base, we took the initiative and elected to continue the experiment. It was lacking a top, and the filiing was kind of upside down. Messy, but nearly there.
5. These are the results.

We nearly died for this.
