Snack Database!

    I've decided to create a snack database for the site, to help those people from far and wide identify snacks and find out more about them.

    I'm looking for manufactured food products that can be considered snacks, so we're talking chocolate, candy, all the rest of it. Submissions should be made to [email removed] and be as full as possible.

    I am looking for the following information:

    Snack Name:
    Alternative Names:
    Manufacturer/Producer:
    Year first produced
    Ingredients
    A general description of the snack
    and, very importantly, a decent picture. I'll accept up to 4 for each snack.

    As soon as I have a couple of entries rolling it'll go up on the site and I'll devise a handy web form to submit new ones. In the meantime I'll brace myself for multiple submissions of the same common snacks, so please try for originality and rareness!

    Thank you very much Pimp Daddy. This will be great for me because I don't recognize half the snacks people talk about here. It's either the fact that im from the US or maybe im just a snacking moron [Confused]

    Even I don't recognise half of them, don't worry.

    Still, I'm not aware of another database like it, so it should be fun and of course, adds a little more value to the site.

    I recognise most, but when people start talking about really old school snacks I'm lost. Just one of the many curses of youth, DAMN my youthfulness and the like!!!!

    It works, but the system itself is not yet complete. So, add snacks to your hearts content and let me know of any errors.

    I'd like to see a "checklist" type page of the pimps that have been done. It must be hard for those doing new pimps to scan through all the pimps to see if theirs has already been done.

    i should imagine this is because different sizes are different prices - so if you buy a mars bar, standard size is 50g (i think) and is about 45p, but a king size (or 'duo') is bigger (80g??) and therefore costs more - 80p?

    so if the serving size is 50g the price is 49p (or whatever, this is just an example and i may be wrong, i just eat chocolate not compile the prices!!)

    I agree, especially as some have potentially non-obvious pimp names. [Smile]
