Triple Chocolate Cookie

We were looking through an old cookery book when we came across a recipe for triple chocolate cookies. Then we thought it would be good to make a giant cookie.

Ingredients:

200g margarine
200g caster sugar
200g brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
350g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
100g white chocolate
150g milk chocolate
150g dark chocolate

Ingredients laid out on a kitchen table: flour, caster sugar, eggs, cocoa, salt and chocolate bars

We started off by beating together the margarine with the sugars.

The eggs were then beaten with the vanilla

Beaten eggs in a glass bowl, fork resting in them, bowl steadied by hand

We then added the eggs to the butter mixture

The cocoa powder was then added

Flour, baking powder and salt were blended with the mixture

Flour tipped over the chocolate mixture in the bowl, waiting to be folded in

All the chocolate was broken up

Then we added the chocolate to the mixture

The mixture was then spread onto a baking tray and put in the oven for about 20 minutes at gas mark 5 (190◦c)

Take out of the oven and leave to cool
