Pimp That Snack

Colossal Choc Chip Cookie

Hi, my name is Alice; I am a thirteen year old girl from Colchester. I looked up this website when I saw it featured on ‘Gordon Ramsay’s F-word’ and thought it was quite cool so gave it a try. I decided to make my all time favorite snack, a double chocolate chip cookie! And this particular cookie turned out even better because I ended up using 4 huge bars of chocolate! For all the exact amount of ingredients it cost approximately £2.57. Here is the recipe I used:

Ingredients:

4 large bars of chocolate
170g sour cream
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3 eggs
300g white sugar
pinch of salt
teaspoon of baking powder
teaspoon of baking soda
300g of plain flour
200g of butter

Ingredients laid out on a wooden table: flour, sugar, butter, vanilla, plain chocolate and choc chip cookies

Pre-heat the oven to 210 C. Then put the butter and 2 of the bars of chocolate into a pan and heat until they are melted together. Melt them until they are smooth. This stuff should just look like melted chocolate and it will taste delicious!

2. Then sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, and then set them aside.

3. Then in a small bowl beat together the sugar, the eggs, and the vanilla until they are light and fluffy.

4. Mix the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until it is well blended.

5. Stir in the dry ingredient mix into the chocolate mix, alternately with the sour cream.

6. Break up the rest of the chocolate into blocks and stir in with the mix.

7. Then place the mix onto a flat, greased baking tray and shape it into a cookie shape.

8. Bake for 12 – 15 minutes. It should come out looking something like this:

9. Enjoy!

Needless to say it was not for dunking!
