What the original account establishes

- The Smartprice challenge: at 8 o’clock, bored, with about £6 between friends, buy as much as possible at Asda. Ingredients: 1.5 kg of Smartprice mince, 10 slices of Smartprice cheese, 1 onion, 1 Smartprice loaf and 1 British Little Gem lettuce, £4.06; the method also uses bacon and ketchup, which are not listed. That was enough for one mega burger, but two were made. The mince was fried until brown, the onion added, and the mixture squished into a burger shape sized against the bread, then cooked in the oven at 200 c for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile the bread was sliced and lined with lettuce and the bacon cooked; the burger went on the lettuce with the bacon on top, then cheese, more lettuce and tomato ketchup. The original account
Firstly, I’d like to clarify what the Smartprice challenge actually IS.
It’s 8 o’clock, you and your mates are bored, and you have about £6 between you. You drive to Asda and you buy as much stuff as you can for the little money you have, hence THE SMARTPRICE CHALLENGE!
Back to the Pimp
Ingredients:
Smartprice Mince – 1.5 kg
Smartprice Cheese – 10 slices
Onion 1
Smartprice Bread loaves – 1
British Little Gem Lettuce – 1

Cost: A whopping £4.06
That’s actually enough for one mega burger, but we made two (foolishly)
Method
Fry up mince until brown.

Add onion.
Squish into burger shaped thing (use bread for size).

Put in the oven at 200 c for 10-15 minutes.
While that is cooking, spice bread and lay down a layer of lettuce on the bottom half. Cook bacon.

Burger will be ready, place on top of lettuce layer and put bacon on top of burger.

Cover in cheese, another layer of lettuce and tomato ketchup

Try not to explode.

There you have it. Easy peasy.
