1.The ingredients were straight forward as is shown in the picture, dessert
pastry, icing sugar, hundreds and thousands and strawberry jam, all coming
to a grand total of around £3.50 thanks to the low pricing of sainsburys!
2.I rolled two identical squares of pastry using a surface covered in icing
sugar to prevent sticking and provide that sweetness only pop tarts give.
3.Strawberry jam was then spread over the top of one pastry slabs and then
the other slab was placed ontop and then baked in the oven at 200 degrees
celius for 15 mins in a fan assisted oven.
4. After cooling, very thick icing sugar was applied and then hundreds and
thousands sprinkled ontop and the whole thing lefts to solidfy.
5. The end result was a very Pop Tart looking supersized breakfast dessert!
now, maybe someone should pimp a toaster so I have one big enough to toast
