Yip, yip, yip check it out un ting. Last night got back to me yard after some serious crusin in me homie’s Ford Cortina wid some serious munchies. Me went to me local shop for the king of the cakes the coconut slice, all dey had was deese mini cakes, not enough for a whack home girl like the Mighty Mix Mistress, so I pimped it up. Booyakkasha!!!

Got meself ‘nuff ingredients –

Ingredients on a table: flour, eggs, margarine, sugar, desiccated coconut, jam and baking paper

Mixed dem together in one bad ass bowl –

Flour and cubes of margarine being rubbed together in a large white mixing bowl

Me arms had taken ‘nuff slack so brought in me daddy to whack it about –

Whisking the pale cake batter by hand in the mixing bowl on the worktop

Spread dat fine mix all over the finest tray in Zion –

Batter spread into a baking-paper-lined roasting tin and smoothed with a wooden spoon

Banged some heat on its ass. Chill wid ya homies ‘til it take a tan –

The baked sponge, risen and golden, cooling in its lined roasting tin on the hob

Let the new born lay down its head, den show it who’s boss and proper slice it up, spread wid nuff o dat sweet jam –

Jam spread over one long sponge slab on a wooden board, knife and jam jar alongside

Pimp it proper on ya sun bed, and lay it down on wood –

The two sponge slabs stacked into a deep sandwich, seen end-on from the board

Flex it up and add some bling, show da baby slice who da King Pin Double Desmond Decker Coconut Slice Daddy, den serve with a brewd, en go wid da flo mo fo and check out da snow!!! wid a aerial vu, seeeen…
