Pimp That Snack

Giant Brownie

I decided to make the giant brownie because I didn’t think it had been done
before.(also partly so I could take it into school and eat it in my electronics class with my cool class)

First the Ingredients:
4 boxes of brownie mix (£1.99 each)
4 eggs (90p ish)
300ml water (free)
Estimated cost: £8.86

Four boxes of Cadbury brownie mix with a jug of water and four eggs

Firstly I took 2 of the boxed mixes and emptied them into a mixing bowl,
added 2 of the eggs and 150ml of the water.

Eggs cracked into brownie mix and water in a large metal mixing bowl

Then I mixed it all up and added half of the chocolate drops.

The bowl of batter with the jug, spare eggs and a brownie mix box behind

I poured the mixture into the baking dish and sprinkled the remaining
chocolate drops on top.

Chocolate chunks scattered over smooth brownie batter, wooden spoon resting in the bowl

Then I emptied the second boxed mixes and emptied them into a mixing bowl,
added the second 2 eggs and 150ml of the water. Then I mixed it all up again and added half of the chocolate drops.

Dry brownie powder tipped onto the wet mixture and part-stirred with a wooden spoon

I poured the mixture into the baking dish on top of the other mixture and
sprinkled the remaining chocolate drops on top.

Batter poured into a big square baking tray with chocolate chunks dotted over the top

The I place it in the oven at 165 degrees Celsius for a fan oven and cooked
if for 55mins checking it occasionally to prevent it burning. When it was
done I took it out, let it cool and put it on a plate.

The baked brownie, thick and square, overhanging the dinner plate it sits on

It measured in at about 24cm by 24cm.

The finished brownie on its plate with a ruler laid alongside for scale

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the photos as much as I did making it and
then eating it in school with my electronics class.
