Pimp That Snack

Jelly Tot Tastic

It all started off when our wicked Mum made us walk 4 Miles in the Rain to pick up a Batch of Jelly that she had ordered, from the Supermarket. We asked our Mum what we were doing with this large mass of Jelly, but we were told that we’d find out soon enough.

After the long Trek to the Supermarket and back our Arms aching and ourselves soaking, we found out we were going to make some large Jelly Tots for a Website ‘Pimp That Snack’.

Ingredients on a kitchen worktop: boxes of jelly, caster sugar, a jug of water and Jelly Tots

An ordinary bag of Rowntree's Jelly Tots lying unopened on the speckled worktop

We put the different flavoured Jellies in Bowls and Stirred, and Stirred and Stirred like never before. We stirred so well actually, that it dissolved incredibly well!!!

Yellow jelly cubes dissolving in a bowl of hot water beside a jug of red jelly mixture

A set disc of dark red jelly turned out onto a white dinner plate

After this we put the separate Bowls in any Freezer space available, around the Peas and Bread… We even went next Door for extra space!

Blue bowl of orange jelly mixture left to set on a wire fridge shelf

Opened bag of Jelly Tots with five normal-sized sweets tipped out beside it

After a Space of 30 Minutes; filled with waiting and thinking of presentation Ideas, and getting Tips from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we took the Four Jelly Tiles out of the Freezer and put them onto a large Tray. When all of this was done we lightly, drowned! the Jelly Tiles in Granulated Sugar, and we had produced:

JELLY TOT-TASTIC!!!

Four finished giant tots, sugar-dusted jelly discs on a tray, with real Jelly Tots alongside for scale
