You might have half-stolen my own idea that's in the works, but there will be more on this.... later [Smile]
I have just noticed this - and what is the great idea??
I'm speculating, but think this would be an excellent plan..
Getting some gullible twit(s) to run a really long race such as a marathon and have PMS people at regular points along the course giving them pieces from a pimped snack to keep them going!
Just imagine the publicity - a marathon (one of the most pimped races going), and some participants running it using pimped snacks for energy...the marathon and on would be the best one!
oh.my.god. That is such a cool idea, even if this isn't pimp daddys idea, i think this would be fabulous!! it would definalty help me if i knew i had snacks coming my way!!!
I reckon the plan is to do a pimp my snack marathon, how many pimps you can do in 24hours!! all sponsorship raised in aid of diabetes uk!!!
I reckon he's dressing up as a giant pimped snack to run it. He he he. A Marathon bar!! (lack of sleep plus copious amounts of sugar to keep me awake doing my dissertation)
Am I right, am I right? *boing boing boing*[/quote]
Best of luck with this, hope it goes ok and you raise lots of dosh Have you taken a look at the justgiving forums? (http://community.justgiving.com/forums/) They are sometimes good for sharing tips and advice, I am on there as a team of us will be doing the Hyde Park 5K in september. Hope the training is going ok [Very Happy]
Have read and reread your post there pimpdaddy and am having a terribly blonde moment and dont understand it at all. Of course there is the chance that I'm not supposed to in which case ignore this incredibly pointless reply [Wink]
Ever read a book called 'Angry White Pyjamas' crowey?
Great read about how a 30 year old english dude in Japan learns Aikido and obtains a black belt in one year by doing a punishing 5-day a week course.
Japan scares me. One bit that sticks in my head is how one of the instructors told the class to punch him in the stomach as hard as they could, one at a time. For him it had gone beyond perfecting the art and so it was just a case of increasing physical endurance. Suffice to say being punched squarely by 30+ students didn't phase him.
Thanks for clarifying that pd, not the smartest cookie in the jar me [Very Happy] Incidentally I shall be wheeling the majority of mine, in a pimped up chair (am thinking pink fluffy rims etc) so I also bow down to Vix and the like who decide to run these things! [prayer] (how cool there is a bowing down emoticon?!)

havent read it yet, keep meaning to though.
did you know houdini died after he got someone to punch him in the stomach as hard as he could? ruptured his spleen.
we have an excersise where we all lie down next to each other, and our instructor runs up and down along the line on our stomachs. he weighs 17 stone [Shocked] needless to say, you son find out who ate before class [Very Happy]
Yay!! I'm one of Emily's Angels and I shall be walking the 5k in Hyde Park - no way I'm running anywhere, I can't out run my 5 year old! Def be able to run away from arm breakingness though!
hello all, just thought id let you know how i did!!! Well we arrived at the race course, only to be greeted with the hottest day of the year, it was about 30 degrees at 11am before we even started!! it was muttually agreed we should combine running with walking so as not to dehydrate and pass out! We managed to get round in 50 minutes, which was great considering the amount of people wilting at our feet!! The web page is still open for donations until the 16th july if any one would like to sponsor us, we've managed to raise about £1000 so far!! Thanks to everyone for your support!!!
