Aaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh
I hate BT! The phone lines in my area have been down for two weeks now thanks to a lightning strike and all BT have done is dig up a hole and cut a pipe open. I have had to resort to hijacking a computer at work to catch up on the latest.
It's also messed up my Putfile site (Comrade Stalin is very angry) and I can't listen to BBC 7 online.
ET says: ET phone home. But BT have clearly made this impossible.
You may mock PD, but when the emails were down at work, we rang BT and we were told that to try and co-operate in fixing the problem, we had to go onto the internet and go to a certain email address and tell them the problem
BT sucks. I had wireless internet with them and the connector stopped working. 1 month later their technical support still had no idea what was wrong and we ended up buying a new connector.
They would've done better by picking their technical support from a zoo. At least the call center wasn't in India though - I could actually tell what they were saying.
Yeah BT suck our internet used to keep going off every 10 mins or sometimes evey 2 mins and it was ment to be broadbad so we kept telling them that we might need a new router but they kept asking us to ring up and go through all this crappy stuff like have you turnd it on and off blah blah blah for about 3 months finaly we got throught to someone who had half a brain cell and sent us a new router and has workd fine ever since.
When we move house, we're going to investigate the Sky broadband package - anyone else know anything more about this? We've only mooted the idea but it's got to be better than any other provider. We're on Telewest at the mo but it does seem a bit pricey, although the service is good.
Ya, the issue at the moment does appear that it's not available! [Laughing] All the signs are good, but as you say that could be tish and pish...
Thank heavens we're not moving just yet (the offer I have just telephoned the estate agent with is probably the most insulting thing they've ever heard!)...
Ha, well my friend made this really bizarre DVD. Essentially just boys messing around. Some of it's very very funny. It involves things like odd effects with a cuddly chicken and odd fake adverts involving the setting fire to socks with faces on.
hmmm reminds me of sum guys i know who video each other jumping over ppl on skate boards (around 3-4 ppl who get jumped over) and them jumping out of secound story windows (what idiots)
are u sure but i think all the guys in jersey have a screw loose to jump out of a secound story window which had a sky dish right outside.
i think a more wired fact is that 2 of my friends have dun it but hey there 15 and mad.
Berliner updates you: It took BT three weeks to fix the phone lines. After six weeks without the internet I still have nothing. I am now using a friend's PC. And have have just found out my computer has been written off because the ethernet is faulty. So I've had one hell of a bad summer. My entire snack pimping ideas have gone to waste, but on the other hand I have discovered the delights of home brewing...
If its just the network adapter that is faulty there's no point in writing it off..they only cost a few pennies so put a new card in and get rid of the old one.
With regards to you phone line being off...ask BT about compensation. They aren't obliged to offer it but if asked there are certain circumstances where they are obliged to give it. We got a month's free line rental for every day they were late installing a phone line for us - got a whole year free which suited me fine [Smile]

hmmm who wrote pc off for a network card ?
you could fit a new 10/100 card for a grand total of £4.
Going back to the BT thing, we spent ages trying to get out wirless router to work but its all ok now. Its very hard to find someone who actually has a clue what you're talking about.
