My wisdom teeth have been playing up on my favorite side of my mouth so I'm going have them pulled out. That sucks soooo much, I mean food tastes so crap now I have to chew on the wrong side of the mouth. Has anybody else noticed that?

Yes actually ... when one side of my mouth was still numb after the dentist & I had 2 chew on the other side. It doesn't taste quite the same. It must be to do with where certain taste buds are positioned
I've had probs meself. I had a crown on the right in June (my old gold inlay kept falling out) and about a week later an upper molar on the left got really sore (the gum around it, mostly). It was like food was constantly getting stuck between it and the tooth behind. I was worried it was an abscess and I'd need a root canal, but turns out I'd actually broken it! I've got a temporary thing on it at the moment but it's super sensitive and a real bugger if I touch it with a fork...
I had two of my wisdom teeth taken out in an operation when I was younger, and the rest have come through now. Bloody painful annoying things, I tell ya.
Apparantly they can become sensitive through over brushing... and drinking anything that isn't water or milk... and drinking when you eat... and eating.... generally...
Get some of those rock dentures from Brighton or Blackpool! (Sugar rock that is, not pebbles! Although confusingly you can get sugar pebbles in Brighton...)
If your wisdom teeth causing you pain then it can affect the other teeth. You'll be happier once they're out.
I was lucky in that I had really gappy teeth (I had a Madonna gap) when I was young so my wisdom teeth just pushed them together.
I'm just unlucky the enamel was crappy so they tend to crumble...
I have to go to the dentist at the end of the month, and apart from costing me a clean fortune - just don't ask, but it's dearer than any amount of bags I have bought - ever - I just don't want to go
I got two wisdom teeth out a few years ago, and I have to say it was fine.
Though the holes at the back of my mouth for a few weeks afterwards was very disorientating
My wisdom teeth were the only ones on my upper jaw to come through straight.
Almost all the others came through all over the place. I had to have teeth taken out many years ago to fit them all in, because my jaw would otherwise have been too small to fit them all in. Even though I have remarkably small teeth.
I've got 4 (wisdom teeth). I haven't been to the dentist for 4 years cos they'll only end up pulling them all out and I've heard how painful they can be, plus mine dont hurt
The problem with wisdom teeth isn't the fact that they're there, but rather because they often come up at funny angles that impact onto the other teeth which is when they need to be removed.
i dnt know if i'll ever get wisdom teeth becasue im still missing 2 molouers but im going to the dentist 2morrow for a check-up [Sad] i h8 the denist specially wen they poke a tooth you said hurts and then askes does that hurt. well obvosily. why do they do that????? [Mad]
Was at the dentist last week and got three injections and gas couldn't sit in the chair without the gas, but my god the injections hurt.
For the first time - that I can remember - I have never been as sore before. Have to go again in a couple of weeks and I am not looking forward to it. [Crying or Very sad]
I didn't look after my teeth well as a child and I really regret it. I hadn't had to have a filling for several years, until earlier this year. I felt like such a failure. The injection is the thing I hate - it makes that whole area sore for days (or more).

My 2nd wisdom tooth is poking through now (both on the right).
