Has anyone seen the episode of the Simpsons where Marge makes 'Dessert Dogs?' I challenge someone to have a go at that, or they're own version of it!
(Gotta Love Wiki) - Definition of a Dessert Dog
In "All's Fair in Oven War", Marge enters the Ovenfresh Bakeoff with "Dessert Dogs" - hot dogs which are actually made of deep fried cookie dough "dogs", meringue "buns", cherry sauce "ketchup", and caramel "mustard".
Any takers? I'd have a go myself, but I'm not allowed near the deep fat frier. Who knew boiling oil could melt the worktop? [Embarassed]
Yeah, american's can buy it in cans and tubes. Some people eat it raw, its quite nice. i don't think it can be bought raw in the UK, but then, its not exactly hard to make cookies is it?
cookie dough can usually be found in the fridge section of the UK supermarkets, next to stuff like ready made pastry (and in my supermarket, its next to the butter). I have never bought it though, just eaten it in Ben and Jerry's ice cream (and it's well tasty! )
