hello everybody - just to warn you i am about to write an essay...(deep breath...)
so i quit my shitty tescos job and have got myself a shiny new job working for a culinary events organising company and the biggest thing we do is the Great British Cheese Festival, which takes place in September and sees over 12,000 people visit a show with over 820 different cheeses as well as a whole load of other British made/grown produce/cookbooks/fun & games and its all very fun and lovely....so the point is can anyone give me any great ideas for cheese pimping so i could make an amazing cheesey thing to promote the festival and British Cheese Week is a different way that would appeal to a different audience than what they've already got???!!! After all who wouldnt want to visit a festival that has a man made out of cheese or something equally as amazing??!! and please dont suggest a giant dairylea cos thats NOT REAL CHEESE!!!!

You could try creating a cheesy logo to represent the Festival that attempts to get in touch with the younger audience and make it edgy enough to try and attract the older audience. Wait, didn't they do that with the London Olympics logo? See how THAT turned out :p heh.
In all seriousness, I suppose you could try creating a map of the UK by shaping cheeses to represent the area in which they were made. So let's say Scotland makes mozarella, England brie and Wales cheddar. Take those cheeses, cut them to the shape of their respective areas of origin and piece them together to make the map [Smile]
You could make individual areas if you know what cheeses from from where (e.g. Manchester, London, Cornwall etc).
NOTE: I know all areas and cheeses have nothing to do with each other - they were the first to come to mind [Smile]

its a british cheese festival so, although there is a bit for foreign cheese, its most british, the cheese map of britian has been done before (apparently) although i havent seen it!!
