    So who's the greatest, the best, and the brainiest sleuth in the world of crime fiction? My vote:

    Hercule Poirot

    Why? You must use your little grey cells...[/img]

    It's a very slow, very posh, three toed, tree dwelling hairy mammal that lives in Kensington and on the rare occasions it touches ground, will get a chauffeured car to take to the salon for a manicure (not too short) and a coffiure. [Wink]

    while columbo is not without his charms the best detective has to be ironside.

    I must agree that Columbo is wonderful to watch - his attitude his so entertaining! My mum and me used to watch it religiously every time it was on - and we discovered repeats of it during the summer! Quality memories [Very Happy]

    But my bro was somewhat of a traitor cuz his favoutire was Ironside, which he discovered at the tender age of 13 [Crying or Very sad] [Laughing]

    Btw to my knowledge the Pink Panther was 'technically' a detective - but managed to make a hash of everything he done!

    <considers>

    Well, Auguste Dupin is probably the first, so he's somewhat older.

    Holmes rocks, though. just... because!
