    I, like a lot of other people, have been supporting the boycott of Nestle products since I became aware of their tactics in pushing formula milk in undeveloped coutries.

    This genreally effects the choice I have in breakfast cereals and Chocolate, so I've not eaten toffee crisps, rolos, smarties etc. for a good few years now.

    My other half's veggie so we tend not to have Geletine based foods in the house either.

    I was wondering if anyone else has restrictions, self imposed or otherwise, on what they buy / eat / pimp?

    I guess that means nobody feels too restricted in their chocolate buying - either that or they're too sleepy to reply [Smile]

    You know, this has already crossed my mind. As a member of Baby Milk Action I do try and observe the boycott http://www.babymilkaction.org/pages/boycott.html as far as possible ... therefore probably wouldn't pimp a nestle product as it would be drawing attention to their brand and snacks.

    I have to admit though that it can be difficult and sometimes I buy things and don't realise they are nestle till I get home.

    surely you can pimp nestle products without using any nestle ingredients?

    hmmm ... but surely pimping is kind of paying homage & showing respect to a snack? ( [Confused] )

    Therefore to pimp one, with or without the use of nestle products is irrelevant as you are elevating and subsequently complimenting a snack.

    Maybe you can bend the rules for Nestle products as many of them used to be independent and have since been bought by the corporate Monster that is Nestle.

    For example, Smarties and Kit Kat I think used to be made my Rowntrees? Pimp the Rowntrees product and keep two fingers up to Nestle [Very Happy]

    Whilst I know that I won't be pimping any nestle products ... I would like to add how impressed I am with the new pimped smartie. Well done guys. Good crispy shell work.

    yes, i would never eat a kit kat even though i love them, so i made my own kit kat without using nestle stuff

    I used to subscribe to a magazine called "the ethical consumer" and it was an absolute shocker to find that everything you buy or pay for is involved with at least one something dodgy somewhere along the line, and i mean everything !! I don't believe it should compromise someone's principles too much to pimp something nestle have done as long as you're not a regular consumer.

    I've been a breastfeeding mother myself btw, twice, and I do realise the importance of the campaign. It's been running for donkeys years now and the bastards are still doing it. [Evil or Very Mad]
