i hate plastic carrier bags and have tons of reusable shopping bags, so i took a spare canvas bag and i ironed on some seventies style velvet letters saying 'SNACK PIMP SUPPLIES' - everyone in my local sop loves it, especially when i explained what it meant, so i thought i'd share this as a posible idea for the future

    That's such a brilliant idea!
    I'd buy one [Very Happy]

    finally!!
  7. LadyV Tue Jul 25, 2006 6:12 pm #7
    excellent!
I like the fact that it's also quite a big bag, as if to suggest that you will but lots of supplies to make a massive snack.

I have bag envy now. Might have to make one myself (having a degree in textiles I really have no excuse!) [Very Happy]

i just got the bag from my wholesaler, and then ironed on some felt letters, it wasn't difficult. i also don't want to tread on any toes if PD is planning anything similar, so i'm not taking orders or anything. plus i also like the exclusivity of it lol)

If more t-shirts sell and I'm actually in a position where I have more than £2 to rub together, I'll look into a bag such as this [Smile]

Although at the moment I'm mooting the possibility of having some greetings cards made up, feature various pimps and pimp-like quotes! [Smile]

I would buy a T-Shirt, I've wanted one since Amy got one, but I also have no more than £2 to rub together.

There's a topup card style solution to your problem, which is called Splash Card. Basically u top up the card with the amount of the goods you want to buy and and only the money on the card can be spent so no worries about someone getting the details and blowing a load of cash you could just have the basic minimum amount of cash stored on it. You can top it up at any post office or anywhere that you can top up a mobile phone card and it even works with Maestro (new name for Switch) so should be accepted in most shops and banks as well. No need for a bank account, credit check just apply online.

    Go to http://www.360money.com/splashplastic/index.html?promocode=SPOLD

There is a charge however for using the card either pay as you go style or pay monthly (around £1.50).

Very informative Aledrob. Do you work for splash cards by per chance?

What happened to your avatar btw?

Nope, I don't work for splash cards or in the finance industry (ran the school bank many years ago though [Razz] ). I work in IT Networks and Communications. Just remembered seeing something on BBC2 Money Programme or something like that a while back.

PLUSNET my useless ISP at the moment managed to corrupt and lose my forum pages and about 80 others where my avatar was stored, not had time to restore from back up as yet.
