Hey, I was wondering whether a Thornton's chocolate has been pimped yet, and if not, would anyone like to see one done? We as a 2nd-year student household love this site and are willing to try something chocolaty and fattening.
We were considering the Vanilla one, with the mousse on the inside and encrusted with sugar, as that seems easy, or an emulation of the Alpini...obviously not using the uber-expensive chocolate, we want to see how big we can make one for the same price of buying four of the little b*ggers!! [Cool] Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm going down Winch tomorrow, I shall stop by the shop and procure some for further eating/experimentation. It's going to take some thinking to make that praline filling.
Okay, I didn't buy any...queue was terrible and they seem to be eating my pennies already. BUT I have devised a possible method of making, and all I need to do is find a recipe for praline that includes quantities of butter, sugar, cream, chopped nuts and chocolate.
In the words of the Governer...
I'll be back. [Cool]
EDIT: Bloody Americans taking over the world AGAIN. To them Praline is some crap sickly candy crap. I need PASTE, damnit, PASTE!!! Grrrrr...... [Evil or Very Mad]
Ladies and Gentlemen? Tis me. Sorry for the very long wait.
Well...
The Alpimpi, as it is now called, is in the process of being made. Hopefully it'll be done for next weekend, and I'll see about posting it. We found a recipe as well as using aspects of ideas from the two links, thankies, and again with a bit of luck *crosses fingers* it'll look Alpini-ish...
