NO WAY! STAR BAR BACK

I know this has been a big topic of conversation for people ( i believe such as pesky etc.) and now... maybe even because it was so heavily discussed it is back!

I walked into woolworths today, and was just gonna buy a quick drink when low and behold i saw, in bright yellow, STARBAR, YES THEY'RE BACK!!!!!

Had one, tasted great, reminds me of a wunderbar... which i had in greece. i think they may well be one and the same thing.... hmmmm.

    STARBAR IS BACK

edit: according to wikipedia it IS the same as a wunderbar: The range is most commonly seen in small independent stores, and is most popular in Ireland. This product is also sold in Canada under the name Cadbury's Wunderbar.

yeah, they have been mostly in like independent stockings.

but now they are actually back and i think will be promoted.

I saw some in the newsagent in Shap. I didn't buy one as I was busy being bitterly disappointed at the time - having had to cut my holiday short, on day 5 of 14, due to a calf strain and blisters. That'll learn me not to try to do the coast to coast trail. [Rolling Eyes]

    this is all very odd.

The sign said "yes, it's back" And all i have heard about it is that people cant find it anywhere!!!

grrr. Where's pesky when i need her to back me up.

Starbars are not Starbars in Ireland. When I went there in August they had been renamed as Moro. Top of the Moro to you?
  17. snackbabe Tue Sep 19, 2006 8:32 pm #17
I asked my local shop to get em in and they did - no problemo!
  18. JJ Tue Sep 19, 2006 10:01 pm #18

I beg to differ - but they are also called Starbars in Ireland! I know cause I live there - but it's very strange when you see a Starbar and a Moro side by side on the shelf! [Laughing]

Meh? It Moro - formerly Starbar, on the wrapper.

I live in Northern Ireland close to the border - therefore we can purchase Starbar got from British sweet companies and also Moro from Irish makers. [Very Happy]
    The best of both worlds!
