Sausage Goodness

After the success of the sausage casserole earlier this month I’ve decided to cook another one. I have my 8 sausages for 50p, but I’ve run out of potatos, I’m going to have to grab a couple on the way home. Unless anyone else can think of a good sausage recipe I’ve overlooked? :)

Update: I ended up cooking Toad in the Hole, which was ace, just look at it!

    Bangers & Mash?

    No wait… That needs potato.

Sausage and pasta bake? Sausages in a bun with salad on the side?
    Just a plate of sausages?

    Plenty of good recipes!

I make sausage pasta for the kids … Sausage (cut up small like meatballs), tin of tomatoes and any veg (mushrooms, sweetcorn, peppers, onion genraly good as many veg as possible 4 sausages feed 4 of us) we have lying around. Mix with cooked Pasta ….

I do the same as Vikki, except I don’t use tomatoes and I fry the pastas along with the sausages and vegies…it might sound a bit odd, but it’s actually good…

A toad in the hole is:

    2 Eggs, whisked
    125g plain flour
    150ml Milk

Mix, and add your favourite herbs (I used rosemary, nutmeg and cinnamon).

Heat a shallow tray of melted butter or oil in the oven for 10 minutes until very hot, then pour the mix on to the tray. Then place the sausages into the tray like I did. After 30-40 minutes you should have an amazing mixture of sausage and pancake-like base. Serve with onion gravy and its amazing! :)

Cinnamon, nutmeg? I would have thought those spices to be more for desserts. Maybe that’s just me.

I’m sure it tasted delicious :)
